Payment Terms
Last updated: June 16, 2026
1. Agreement
These Payment Terms (“Payment Terms”) govern paid features of MyTabbi, including Support Membership subscriptions, marketplace checkout, adoption fees, lost-pet recovery rewards, featured boosts, and related payment activity.
MyTabbi is operated by Tabbi, Inc. (“Tabbi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at https://mytabbi.app.
By using any paid feature, you agree to these Payment Terms. They are incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between these Payment Terms and the Terms regarding payments, these Payment Terms control for payment matters.
Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
Paid features are available to users in the United States only. All charges are in USD.
To pay, subscribe, sell through MyTabbi, or receive payouts, you must:
- Have a MyTabbi account in good standing
- Be at least 13 years old
- If you are under 18, have consent from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Payment Terms on your behalf
- Provide accurate billing, shipping, and identity information
- Comply with applicable law
We may refuse, suspend, or limit payment features at our discretion, including for fraud prevention, policy violations, or incomplete seller verification.
3. Stripe and third-party payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates. Tabbi does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers.
Depending on the feature you use, Stripe may act as:
- Payment processor for subscriptions and one-time charges to Tabbi
- Connect platform for peer-to-peer marketplace sales, adoption fees, and lost-pet rewards paid to other users
When you pay or receive payouts, you also agree to Stripe’s applicable terms and policies, including:
- Stripe Services Agreement
- Stripe Privacy Policy
- Stripe Connected Account Agreement (for sellers and payees)
Stripe may collect identity verification, tax, and banking information directly from sellers and payees during Connect onboarding. Tabbi receives limited account status and transaction metadata needed to operate the Service.
4. Support Membership subscriptions
MyTabbi offers an optional Support Membership subscription with additional features. Current pricing is disclosed before purchase (for example, $6/month or $59/year when both plans are offered).
Free trial
New subscribers may receive a one-time 14-day free trial when offered at signup. If you have previously completed a Support Membership signup, the trial is not offered again. During a trial, Support Membership features may be available without charge until the trial ends. You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges for that subscription period.
Referral, promotional, or other offers may provide different trial lengths or discounts. Offer terms shown at checkout apply.
Auto-renewal
Unless you cancel, subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current rate for the billing interval you selected (monthly or annual). By starting a subscription, you authorize Tabbi (through Stripe) to charge your saved payment method on each renewal date.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Support Membership at any time through Settings → Money. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund amounts already paid for the current billing period unless required by law.
Price changes
We may change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice. If a price change applies to your subscription, we will notify you before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price unless you cancel before renewal.
Refunds
Except where required by law or for verified billing errors at our discretion, subscription payments are non-refundable. Canceling prevents future charges; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
5. Marketplace checkout
MyTabbi provides peer-to-peer marketplace checkout between members. Tabbi is a platform facilitator, not the seller of listed goods.
Fees
Marketplace orders include a 10% Tabbi platform fee included in the total checkout price (item + shipping). The fee is deducted from the gross amount before seller payout — it is not added on top at a separate line in most checkout flows.
Sellers receive the item subtotal minus the platform fee (and minus prepaid shipping held for label purchase when applicable).
Escrow and payouts
Buyer payments for new marketplace orders are collected on the Tabbi platform account. Seller payouts are held until:
- Shipped orders: 7 days after carrier delivery, or
- Pickup — buyer confirms: 48 hours after confirmation, or
- Pickup — seller marks handoff: 7 days after handoff unless disputed.
Payouts may be frozen during open issues or card disputes. Sellers must complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payouts.
Orders and fulfillment
Buyers and sellers are responsible for accurate listings, pricing, shipping, pickup arrangements, and compliance with applicable laws. Tabbi does not guarantee product quality, safety, legality, or delivery.
Seller payouts are processed through Stripe Connect according to Stripe’s standard settlement timelines. Stripe or Tabbi may delay, reserve, or reverse payouts for fraud review, disputes, chargebacks, or policy violations.
Disputes and refunds
If you have a problem with a marketplace order, contact the other party through MyTabbi messaging when possible, then open a dispute through MyTabbi support within 7 days after the order is marked delivered or completed (pickup complete, or equivalent).
Tabbi may mediate disputes and request evidence from buyers and sellers. Tabbi does not guarantee refunds. Outcomes depend on the facts, order records, and these Payment Terms.
Tabbi’s decision regarding platform-mediated disputes is final for purposes of the Service. Either party may still have separate rights with their payment provider or under applicable law, including card chargeback rights where available.
Tabbi may issue refunds, partial refunds, account credits, or other remedies when warranted, but is not obligated to do so.
6. Adoption and rehoming fees
MyTabbi may facilitate optional rehoming fees between users connected through adoption listings. Tabbi is a payment facilitator only. Tabbi is not an adoption agency, broker, shelter, or animal rescue, and does not evaluate, approve, or guarantee adoptions.
Fees
When a rehoming fee is charged:
- The adopter pays the listed fee amount
- Tabbi deducts a 10% platform fee from that amount
- The listing user receives the remaining 90% after a successful payment
Fee previews shown in the listing flow reflect this calculation.
Payout timing
Rehoming fees are paid out to the listing user after the payment clears through Stripe, subject to Connect account status, fraud review, and applicable holds.
Users remain solely responsible for lawful rehoming practices, accurate listings, and compliance with local laws.
7. Lost-pet recovery rewards
MyTabbi may allow pet owners to fund recovery rewards for lost-pet alerts. These rewards carry no Tabbi platform fee.
When an owner funds a reward:
- The full reward amount is collected for the stated purpose
- Funds are held until the owner confirms recovery in the Service
- Upon confirmation, the reward is released to the finder through Stripe Connect
Tabbi may investigate suspected fraud or misuse and withhold or reverse rewards when appropriate.
8. Featured boosts and one-time charges
MyTabbi may offer one-time paid features, such as Catnip Boost Packs (marketplace Popular placement) or Reach Packs (expanded lost-pet reach). Each pack typically adds 24 hours of visibility and may be stacked for longer duration. These charges are separate from Support Membership unless explicitly stated.
One-time charges are generally non-refundable, except for verified billing errors or where required by law.
9. Referrals and promotional offers
MyTabbi may offer referral credits, discounts, or promotional pricing for subscriptions or other paid features. Promotional terms shown at signup or in the Money hub apply.
Promotional benefits:
- Have no cash value unless stated otherwise
- May expire or be revoked for abuse, fraud, or policy violations
- May not be combined unless explicitly permitted
We may modify or end referral and promotional programs at any time.
10. Prohibited payment activity
You may not use MyTabbi payments to:
- Violate law or third-party rights
- Process payments outside MyTabbi to avoid platform fees for transactions initiated on MyTabbi
- Engage in fraud, money laundering, or misrepresentation
- Sell prohibited items or services
- Circumvent seller verification or payout restrictions
We may suspend payment features, reverse transactions, or terminate accounts for violations.
11. Chargebacks and reversals
If a payment is charged back, disputed with a card issuer, or reversed by Stripe, Tabbi or Stripe may debit connected accounts, withhold payouts, or restrict account features until the matter is resolved.
You agree to cooperate with reasonable requests for information related to payment disputes.
12. Taxes
You are responsible for taxes associated with your transactions, except where Tabbi is legally required to collect and remit tax.
Sellers and payees receiving funds through Stripe Connect may receive tax reporting documents (such as 1099-K or other forms) from Stripe when applicable. Tabbi does not provide tax advice.
13. Account deletion and records
You may request account deletion through Settings → Account or by contacting support@mytabbi.app.
Before deletion, you must:
- Cancel an active Support Membership subscription
- Resolve open marketplace orders, payment disputes, and pending payouts where applicable
After deletion, Tabbi may retain payment and transaction records as required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimers
PAID FEATURES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TABBI DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES RELATED TO PAYMENT PROCESSING, PAYOUT TIMING, AND THIRD-PARTY PAYMENT PROVIDERS.
Tabbi’s limitation of liability in the Terms of Service applies to paid features, subject to applicable law.
15. Changes to these Payment Terms
We may update these Payment Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted at https://mytabbi.app/payments with a revised effective date.
Material changes may also be communicated through email, in-app notice, or other reasonable methods. Continued use of paid features after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Payment Terms.
When Payment Terms change materially, we may require renewed acceptance through the Terms of Service update process.
