It started with two cats and a cat hotel stay
MyTabbi started with Tanooki and Vader — a tabby and a Bombay who have very different personalities and very similar ability to generate paperwork.
When we needed to get them ready for a cat hotel stay, gathering their records turned into a frustrating search through emails, files, PDFs, notes, and apps. Vaccination dates in one place. Vet visit summaries in another. Food allergies written down somewhere we could not find at 10pm the night before drop-off.
That moment made something obvious: cat ownership is fragmented. Not because people do not care — because nothing was built as a real home for a cat's life. That is what we are building with MyTabbi.
Why cats deserve their own platform
Most pet apps try to serve everyone — dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, all at once. MyTabbi is built specifically for cats.
That matters in the details. A cat-first product can care about litter box logs without apologizing for them. It can build community around multi-cat households, foster handoffs, and the specific chaos of vet records — not generic “pet profiles.”
We are starting with a web app as proof of concept — something real cat owners can use and stress-test today. Mobile apps for iOS and Android are planned for later, once the foundation is solid.
MyTabbi is not a generic pet app with a cat skin. It is a cats-first home for care, records, community, marketplace, and more.
